It contains vitamins A, six vitamins B, C, E, K, among 31 different microelements calcium, potassium, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, zinc, amylases, amino acids, saponins, polysaccharides.

The light root can also be consumed by athletes. The father of Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt said that the root contributed to his son’s success in athletics. The traditional and historical background of the use of the light root is in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM).
